Services
Helping you on your learning journey
We go above and beyond the classroom to help community members. Please stop by our office to discuss what you may need assistance with. If it is not something we deliver directly, we can provide guidance and assistance on who to connect with.
Services
We can help community members with a wide range of information, referral and assistance. Please contact us at 403-431-0091 or programs@bowvalleylearning.ca to make an appointment.
We also offer a variety of workshops for organizations that would like to enhance the skills of their employees. Please contact ed@bowvalleylearning.ca for more information.
CELPIP & IELTS Preparation
We can provide one-on-one instructor to learner sessions to help you prepare for your CELPIP or IELTS test. Our instructors have received certification specifically for these tests. The cost is dependent on the level you are at. If you are aiming for a CLB 8 the cost is $40.00 per hour. If you are already at a CLB 8 or higher the cost is $50.00 per hour. There is no minimum or maximum number of sessions required.
Exam Supervision
We can provide space and the oversight to allow you to complete an exam off-site. The cost is $40.00.
Tutoring
Sometimes learners feel more comfortable in a smaller group, or a one-on-one setting. We can arrange informal tutoring sessions with a tutor to help you in literacy, numeracy and basic digital (smartphone, computer, tablet) skills and English language. Cost varies from free of charge to low cost.
Post Secondary Program Information
There are so many options for adult learning that it can be difficult to know where to start. We would be happy to explain what each can offer along with the application process and any prerequisites.
