Community Workshops & Programming
Our community workshops and programming are geared to provide community members to fully participate in the community. From job related workshops to civic literacy and learning about participating on a board, our goal is to provide opportunity and confidence for all adults.
Résumé & Cover Letter Writing
In this 90-minute workshop led by a career coach from the Banff/Canmore Job Resource Centre, you will learn what employers are looking for and how to write effective, targeted cover letters and résumés.
Interview Skills
In this 90-minute workshop led by a career coach from the Banff/Canmore Job Resource Centre, you will learn how to prepare for your interview and how to best answer different interview questions.
Civic Literacy
This workshop will provide an overview of the roles of municipal, provincial, and federal governments, as well as areas where they overlap. It will also explore how people who are not Canadian citizens or too young to vote can still participate in our political systems.
Should I join a Board of Directors?
This two-hour workshop will review the responsibilities of a governance board, including key roles, versus the role of the Executive Director and the relationship between the two.
Competency-Based Education (CBE)- Information Session
This workshop provides information about a flexible learning model that offers students less ‘seat time’ and the ability to progress faster through assessments based on their past education and experience.
