This information session is about the Competency-Based Education (CBE) approach. Bow Valley College is a provincial leader in Competency-Based Education (CBE), an approach that prioritizes mastery of specific skills over traditional “seat time,” allowing students more control over their learning pace and workload. This flexible model offers students the ability to progress faster through assessments they’re ready for and allows experienced learners to earn credit for prior learning through Prior Learning Assessment and Recognition (PLAR)
