Using Math for Everyday Tasks

This class is designed to help you understand the basics of math by using it for practical tasks including basic budgeting, changing recipes, determining square footage, and more! There is no cost for the class and everything will be supplied for the learners.
Dates & Times
This class runs from Nov 13, 2024 until Dec 18, 2024, on the following days of the week: Wednesday. Each day class starts at 5:00 pm and ends at 7:00 pm.
Fee
This class is free of charge. Donations to the Bow Valley Adult Learning Centre are gratefully accepted.
How to Register

- Visit our Banff or Canmore offices, Monday to Thursday, 12 PM to 4 PM
- Book an appointment with the coordinator in either Banff or Canmore. The program coordinator can provide you with information about learning options and resources.
Payment Options
You can pay using a credit or debit card, cash, or e-transfer. Sorry, no cheques were accepted. Payment is due upon registration. If a withdrawal is made in the first week, a full refund will be issued

Financial Assistance
Some employers help you pay for English classes. We also accept the Banff Access Card, the Canmore Affordable Services Card and the Lake Louise ID9 Access Card. Your access card must be presented when you register for class and can only be used if your employer is not paying a portion of the course fee.
Class Cancellations
Schedule changes and class cancellations are sometimes unavoidable. If we postpone or reschedule a class, we will make every effort to notify registrants.
Bow Valley Adult Learning Centre requires a minimum enrollment of six learners for each class & classes with insufficient enrolment are cancelled one week prior to the course start date unless otherwise stated. Refunds will be issued for class cancellations.
