CAEC Test Centre Policies
Our goal is to help you feel confident and comfortable when taking your CAEC test. Please note the following:
- Please arrive 10 – 15 minutes prior to the start of your exam. This is to provide you time to use the facilities, and make yourself comfortable.
- You must present photo identification prior to starting your exam.
- Please ensure you do not bring notes, pens, etc with you. You will be provided with blank paper, a pencil, pen, and eraser.
- Please do not bring a water bottle or food – you will be provided with a bottle of water and a snack will be made available.
- You will be asked to leave your mobile device and smart watch with the invigilator as we recognize it may be required for medical purposes or emergency.
- You are welcome to visit the test centre (and complete a practice test) prior to completing your exam. This can be arranged by contacting testing@bowvalleylearning.ca
- If you suffer from test anxiety, email testing@bowvalleylearning.ca and we can provide you with helpful tips and websites.
Once you are ready for the exams:
- You will need an Alberta Student Number (ASN). If you attended school in Alberta you will already have one. If you have not, you will need to request one. You can find your existing, or request an ASN here https://learnerregistry.ae.alberta.ca/
- You will need to set up an account https://caec.vretta.com/#/en/general/login Enter your Student number as you set up your account.
- Once you have an account you can login and see when the exams are offered.
Bow Valley Adult Learning Centre, Canmore location is a test centre! We offer each of the exams in English once per month. If you require your exam(s) to be in French, contact us at testing@bowvalleylearning.ca to make arrangements. The cost per exam is $80.00. Please review our test centre policy (insert) prior to writing your exam.
