High Beginner Conversation French

March 11 to April 29, 2026

This online French conversation course is ideal for continuing to build basic conversational skills. Practice sharing information about yourself, your family and friends, your work, and your daily life. Learn grammar, pronunciation, expressions, and vocabulary to function in everyday settings.

You will practice your new language skills in a relaxed environment with the support of our passionate and experienced instructor, who will encourage authentic and meaningful conversations.

Learning objectives: The goal of this course is for you to be able to:

  • Participate in brief exchanges of recurring nature, such as salutations, introducing yourself, describing your family and friends
  • Understand and respond to simple questions about basic needs, such as your place of residence, your work, and your preferences, using present tense, infinitive verbs, short sentences, and isolated words.
  • Understand when someone speaks slowly and clearly using familiar words, and be understood by interlocutors accustomed to interacting with non-native speakers.

Your instructor will plan a curriculum adapted to the cohort using on-cue pronunciation help, basic vocabulary, and grammatical concepts. Each class will support achieving the learning objectives and provide opportunities to build skills for authentic conversation and pertinent communication.
