Beyond Foundational Learning: Basic Business Communications
April 24 - June 5
This class is designed for anyone who wants to improve their business communications skills. Topics may include:
- Determining the best communication channel to use
- When to use formal or informal language
- How to compose a professional email to respond to a customer inquiry or a customer concern
- How to write a basic business report or proposal
For English Language Learners a CLB level of 8 or higher is required.
Dates & Times
This class runs from April 24 until June 5, on the following days of the week: Monday, Wednesday. Each day class starts at 2:00 pm and ends at 4:00 pm.
Fee
The fee for this class is $350. See below for information regarding payment options and financial assistance.
How to Register
Call or text the program coordinator at 403-431-0091, or email programs@bowvalleylearning.ca. You can also book an appointment with the coordinator in either Banff or Canmore. The program coordinator can provide you with information about learning options and resources.
Payment Options
You can pay using a credit or debit card, cash or by e-transfer. Sorry, no cheques accepted. Payment is due upon registration. If a student withdraws from a course in the first week they will be issued a full refund.
Financial Assistance
Some employers help you pay for English classes. We also accept the Banff Access Card, the Canmore Affordable Services Card and the Lake Louise ID9 Access Card. Your access card must be presented when you register for class and can only be used if your employer is not paying a portion of the course fee.
Class Cancellations
Schedule changes and class cancellations are sometimes unavoidable. If we postpone or reschedule a class we will make every effort to notify registrants.
Courses with insufficient enrolment are cancelled one week prior to the course start date, unless otherwise stated. Refunds will be issued for class cancellations.
